The Septic Plumbing Driver is responsible for operating septic service trucks, pumping out septic systems, and transporting waste to disposal sites in compliance with safety regulations.

This role involves handling and maintaining equipment used for pumping, cleaning, and inspecting septic tanks, as well as providing excellent customer service while working on-site at residential and commercial properties.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate septic service trucks to pump and transport waste from residential and commercial septic systems.
  • Inspect and maintain vehicles to ensure they are in safe working condition.
  • Safely dispose of waste at designated facilities in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Assist in cleaning, repairing, and replacing septic system components, including tanks, lines, and drain fields.
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed, customer interactions, and waste disposal logs.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, providing explanations of services performed and answering any questions.
  • Ensure proper safety protocols are followed on all job sites, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Perform routine inspections of septic systems and report any signs of damage or failure to supervisors.
  • Adhere to schedules for septic pumping services, managing time efficiently to meet daily routes and deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License A or B (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience in septic services, plumbing, or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of septic systems, plumbing, and waste management practices.
  • Ability to operate and maintain pumping equipment and septic trucks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

Work Environment:

  • Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
  • Exposure to hazardous materials and waste.
  • Physical labor, including lifting and maneuvering heavy tools and equipment

Physical Demands:

  • Stand/Sit: Must be able to remain in stationary position 50% of the
  • May be required to bend, climb (Stairs/Ladders), do repetitive motion, kneel, reach, squat, stand, crawl, walk, and run
  • May be required to drive and sit for long periods of time
  • May be required to maneuver up to 25 lb. by lifting, carrying or pushing

PAY TRANSPARENCY:

 

The starting rate for this opportunity ranges from $20-$25 hr. the actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. Other rewards may include incentive plan opportunities and annual bonus eligibility.
